I also used the nestabilities Label 4 and a Martha Stewart border punch. The cardstock was Stampin Up Night of Navy. I used stardream ivory and ruby, stamped them with SU Perfect Plum. Cut out the bird stamp and pop dotted it. Rounded the corners, used the EK success border punch and put a strip of the ruby stardream underneath the punched area. Added an ivory organza ribbon to the side.

The second card used the SU Manhattan embossing die and the swiss dot cuttlebug embossing folder. I used pink stardream cardstock. It embosses quite well. I cut the image to reveal the swiss dot embossing at the top. I added the medium size pearls in the upper corner and in the middle of the rose images. I knotted pink organz aribbon at the bottom. This card was cased from Susie B on splitcoaststampers.

The last card was the most fun. I used the cuttlebug on one side, made lines with my score-it on the right side and then punched the butterflies. They were each punched twice, one was attached to the cardstock, the other layer was only attached in the middle. The butterfly bodies are tiny pearls. I then dotted my new "smoochies" on the butterfly wings.

If you have a birthday soon, maybe you will get one of these cards!

Sad news and Conventions

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but my life has

been upside down for the last month. Am so glad that retirement is my usual state now. Had to take a few days to finish things in my stamp room - actually just clearing a space on the desk so I could work. I am going to the lake later this week with one of my stamp groups so I had to get cards ready to demo. I also had to make a small hostess gift so I used this week's technique from Splitcoaststampers.com

The first image shows the 3 x 3 cards and tote I made. I used the Simple Friendship from Stamping up. Used Brilliance Blue cardstock and ink. Image was stamped on white. I made four cards and stamped the envelopes as well.

My daughter sent me some Flower Soft for Mother's Day so I just had to add to the colors that she sent me. LOL. I got the new floral set of Flower Soft. This first card is made with the SU Thoughts and Prayers set. I stamped the tree in basic brown on light blue cardstock and added the flower soft on the leaves and ground. I then used my nestabilites to cut out the image and matting. I ran the ivory cardstock though my cuttlebug and then rubbed my pretty in pink stamp pad lightly over the top. I stamped the "Thinking of You" (only half of the stamp) in basic brown on the small rectangle edged with Pretty and Pink ink. Ribbon is some I bought at the Great American Store, I think it is Mays Company ribbon - pink with green (I used the back side because it looked like green "x's")

This last card is a Hero Arts stamp - hydrangia. I stamped in stazon black on ivory cardstock, colored in leaves and stem with Garden green marker. Added the Delphelium Blue Flower Soft to the bloom. Matted with Wasbi Green and dark blue cardstock. The Ivory card was stamped with a very old stampin up stamp - Victorian Lace in bashful blue. I popped up the three images that were matted on the green. This card is 5" X 7".

Hope you enjoy this new posting.

Two cards I did recently

Here is a card that I sent to my son's mother-in-law as a thank you note. She loves cats so I felt this cat from Toomuchfun rubberstamps was just the thing. I chalked the cat and used my SU markers. The "thank you" is from Stampin Up. Ribbon from Archivers is double sided, black and silver. Cardstock was grey, image mounted on black glossy, and silver stardreamer.
